Seattle – Just over five months before its theatrical release, Terminator Salvation’s second preview trailer has been released to the public via the Internet, according to Entertainment Weekly.
The fourth Terminator installation, which will not feature Arnold Schwarzenegger, stars Christian Bale fighting robots in the year 2018. The latest trailer issued by Warner Bros. uses Bale, who starred in Dark Night, as the focal point of the storyline. Yet there’s still plenty of other actors included, such as Nick Stahl and Claire Danes from Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, who will reprise their roles as John Connor and Kate Brewster.
The trailer offers plenty of clips without spoiling the plot, and shows Bale in his first performance as John Connor. Intergalactic robot wars, apocalypses, and heroism abound in just two short minutes, leaving fans anxious to see if director Joseph McGinity Nichol, better known as the McG will be able to live up to the work of James Cameron. The McG’s past directing credits include Charlie’s Angels.
More teasers are expected in the coming months before Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins opens in theatres May 22, 2009. The latest trailer of the apocalyptic war film is expected to be featured in movie theatre previews.
