On Tuesday, August 17th, Claire Danes painted walls at Grand Central Terminal’s Vanderbilt hall to help non-profit United States Artists and Valspar Paint unveil “Life in Hi-DEF Color,” an interactive exhibition by artist Stephen Burks.
The exhibit showcases a series of portraits of everyday New Yorkers.
Celebrating the diverse, eclectic style of New York personalities, Danes led a group of performance painters as they painted 26 freestanding walls.
Danes is a 2010 Emmy Award nominee for her role in HBO movie, “Temple Grandin.”

Alright so I have officially deleted the old gallery. All images are up on the new gallery, except for the public appearances. I will be organizing those tonight and uploading them. This has been a very long project but I’m happy with the way the back-end of the gallery looks now! Much easier for me to navigate.

Claire Danes covers Vs. magazine’s Spring/Summer 2010 issue!
Here’s what the 30-year-old actress, who posed for photographer David Vasiljevic, had to share:
On what she looks for in a project: “I think it is really clear when a script is good and you can determine that by just reading the first fifteen pages. I look for something that is imaginative and truthful; a coherent and engaging story and a character that undergoes a transformation no matter how modest.”
On My So Called Life and the attention it still gets:“It is not something I am remotely ashamed of – quite the opposite. I feel really lucky to have been part of something that continues to resonate so many years after.”
