AgWebBlogs – June 29, 2009

Finally an original show worth watching on HBO. Set to show later this year, a biography of Temple Grandin will feature Claire Danes in the leading role. Diagnosed autistic in 1950, Grandin is an avid speaker and author on issues related to autism and her work with livestock handling. Currently an associate professor at Colorado State University, she has used her own experiences to challenge and improve the way American agriculture moves and handles livestock. Her research of sweeping curved corrals and squeeze chutes has had major impacts on the animal industry.

Exact viewing dates of the film are not currently available, though it is in the post-production phase and still slated for a 2009 release. Claire Danes (recently appearing in Me and Orson Welles, Stardust, The Hours and Romeo + Juliet) plays a college-age Grandin who later became one of the most respected animal handling facility designers to date. Julia Ormond plays Grandin’s mother, Catherine O’Hare, her aunt and David Strathairn, a university scientist and Grandin’s teacher.

Grandin has authored more than 300 articles on animal handling, welfare and facility design. She has authored several books, two of which were on the New York Time’s best seller list, several videos, appeared in on numerous TV programs, and is an active speaker.

Just Jared – June 16, 2009

Claire Danes (in Tiffany & Co. jewels) and longtime friend and designer Narciso Rodriguez attend the 2009 CFDA Fashion Awards at Lincoln Center in New York City on Monday (June 15).

When the 30-year-old My So Called Lifeactress ties the knot with British actor Hugh Dancy, Claire will be wearing a wedding gown designed by Narciso.

Talking to People, Claire describes Narciso as a “very cheeky and playful and funny, kind and dear . . . one of my dear friends.”

When asked about working with him on the dress Claire said, “I’m so privileged. I’m collaborating a little bit, but I’m just trusting him implicitly. I’m offing my ideas, but they always pale in comparison to his.”

exploreLI.com – June 9, 2009

Claire Danes and her fiancé Hugh Dancy, along with the Accompanied Literary Society, feted a reading of author Jay McInerney’s new collection of short stories, “How It Ended”, Saturday night at the Montauk Yacht Club in the courtyard of the Ziegfeld Estate, a sources tells HinTH.

Designer Cynthia Rowley, The B-52’s Fred Schneider and “John Adams” director Tom Hopper attended the ’20s-themed event donned in their summer whites while Danes read McInerney’s “It’s Six A.M. Do You Know Where You Are?” followed by Dancy’s take on “The Waiter.”

The couple, who were guests of the hotel all weekend, spent the rest of the evening on the dance floor, enjoying ’20s tunes from Adam Dugas and the Fitzgerald Follies. Danes partied barefoot until the band officially called it a night, the source says, adding that the duo lounged in the courtyard all day Sunday.

Alright so here are some new updates for some photo shoots I’ve found. I’ve always stepped back from doing this part of the gallery. Only because I didn’t know where to look. Well now I have started. If you know of any photo shoots and where I can find them please let me know!

Gossip Girls – May 29, 2009

There has always been a link between celebrities and fashion, and last night some of Hollywood’s hottest names were in the house for the Burberry Day event.

Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy arrived at the Palace Hotel in New York City looking very loved-up as they smiled and posed for the paparazzi.

Another celebrity couple, Blake Lively and Penn Badgley, also made an appearance, both looking city chic in black/grey ensembles.

Australian eye candy Orlando Bloom gave the ladies something to swoon over as he hammed it up in the arrivals area in a trench coat/vest combo, while ladies like Emmanuelle Chriqui, Rose McGowan and Helena Christensen were looking their best.

Gossip Girls – May 28, 2009

She has always been a supporter of the arts, and last night (May 27) Claire Danes was spotted at Performance Space’s 122 Spring Benefit.

The “My So-Called Life” hottie looked amazing as she arrived at The Playhouse at Abrons Arts Center in New York City, sporting a simple sexy red dress with black strappy heels.

The theme of the evening was “Real Dancing with the Real Stars,” and was hosted by Isaac Mizrahi and Richard Move.

Choreographer Ishmael Houston-Jones and performance critic C. Carr were the night’s guests of honor, with performances by Philippe Petit, Bill T. Jones’ Fela!, Liam Mower, Elizabeth Streb, and Yvonne Meier.
